Lanzarote is an ideal destination for anyone seeking a good value self catering break. As the island is home to a wide selection of good quality villas and apartments, whilst also offering plenty to do.

Where is Lanzarote?
Like the rest of the Canary Island chain of which it is part it is located close to the Tropic of Cancer and the West African coast of Morocco. With a flight time of about four hours from the UK and other key markets such as Germany and the Republic of Ireland.
Visitors don’t require a visa or any other paperwork as Lanzarote is Spanish owned and consequently part of the EU.

When is the best time to visit?
The climate in the Canaries makes it possible to enjoy HOLIDAYS IN LANZAROTE at any time. Christmas and the New Year holidays are very popular as a result, but just as many tourists visit during summer as they do during the winter months.

Where are the best villas located?
All across the island – although the highest concentration of VILLAS IN LANZAROTE can be found in Playa Blanca, which is the second largest resort on the island. And which can be found right at the southern end of Lanzarote. VILLAS IN PLAYA BLANCA are also a little cheaper than in Puerto del Carmen back along the coastline, thanks to a surfeit of rental properties here.

What are the beaches like?
Wonderful, especially in Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. Although many of these beaches are man made. But there are loads of all natural options around the island, such as Famara, Arrieta and Playa Quemada, one of the few black sand beaches on Lanzarote.

When is the best time to visit?
Lanzarote can be enjoyed at any time of the year but there are still distinct seasons. Head here during the autumn months to enjoy the best weather and less visitor numbers. Whilst Easter is a popular time of the year too.

What are the main attractions?
The island´s volcanic region is the star attraction – and its weird scenery has starred in a number of films too. Such as Clash of the Titans and One Million Years BC. Known locally as the Fire Mountains this is the place to head for if you enjoy seeing the incredible powers of Mother Nature up close.

  1. This is great, accurate information about Lanzarote. Many people believe that the stable weather climate is all year around which isn’t strictly true. January and February, we are sure to see rain, however, you get 12 hours daylight and sun for sure most days. However, there is a great selection of smaller boutique, rural stylish villas and small hotels as well as the bigger tourist focused areas such as Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. Why not see the other side of Lanzarote. For in -depth honest information and advice come to http://www.pure-lanzarote.com, we will help you fix a great holiday.
